#29 – Lay, Lie, or Laine?

This is the twenty-ninth post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.

THE RULES

5. No looks bashing or body shaming. This applies to players and people associated with those players and their clubs, as well as fellow fans.

8. No spamming the meme, whether through repeated comments or other means. 
9. No discussing trolling, individual trolls, or their efforts.

I like that picture, water bottles seem to be a theme for Gabe/Picks moments.

I'd be possessive too obviously you have to stake a claim on Gabe.

Can we talk about their tumblr in general? They have been killing it lately. I also really liked their reply about RPF.

This is the first time I've seen a team engage with fans precisely like this and I have to applaud them. They've been careful and respectful all while identifying a weird niche to keep fan interest from totally tanking. I'm impressed.

I would have preferred if they just ignored the response, especially since the person who said anything A) shouldn't have said it directly on their post and B) fic shouldn't be in the tags anyway. A company has to know its audience, but the interaction made me cringe out of my skin and block them from three different blogs.

*shrug* I'm usually the same way about this kind of stuff, but I liked the way they handled it. You're right, the person shouldn't have said it, but their response didn't ping my secondhand embarrassment at all.

AYRT - I have been enjoying it, maybe I would have preferred no one to ask them about fic, so directly, but I'm sure it wasn't a surprise to them, after all, Gabe and Tyson valentine cards didn't just happen spontaneously.

It is nice that they are playing and it's like they are willing to keep that stuff on tumblr but it's a little unusual. I guess they tailor their approach to the site they are using.
