#29 – Lay, Lie, or Laine?

This is the twenty-ninth post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.

THE RULES

The college flashbacks ending partway through was so frustrating! I don't know if she didn't want to do the research or what, but it messed with the pacing a lot.

Because she didn't want to write BU, she wanted to write A Hockey School, and New England is the closest to her geographical comfort zone, and can't do BC because of British Columbia, so BU! And, hey, isn't Boston where Italians are? Time to make another botched attempt at ethnic diversity!

At that point just make up a school, lmao. Now I'm remembering how she fucked up writing a Jewish character too.

One day there'll be good college hockey fic in the tag, I hope.

Are you talking about either Gabe or Stephen? (I forgot which one, lol.) That was so tagged on. Did she even mention it in the initial story?

Gabe is supposed to be Jewish. There's an ask somewhere on the blog about holidays where she does things like not mention Passover.

I'm not into college hockey, but gdgbaby seems to write a lot of Boston-based college hockey stuff. Have you tried her?
