From: (Anonymous)We're highly unlikely to ever know the whole story so it's *possible* that it was self-defense on her part, but I don't remember even the crappiest media trying to make that argument. What I remember was mostly shitty "that's why they got John Scott" jokes and victim-blaming along the lines of "he put himself in that situation". So I'm completely unsurprised that the same reddit bros who are being assholes about him don't think PKane has anything to apologize for. (For the record, *I* think PKane's a sex offender.)
Also, at least one headline I saw about it afterwards was vague enough that the automatic thought would probably be he assaulted her, not the other way around, and I *think* maybe some of Montreal's shadier media people tried to double down and claim that he was cheating with Devante Smith-Pelly for bonus homophobia.
