Ugh, my eyes are rolling so hard they might fall out.

Plus, his dad was a football player, so he likely started with a naturally stocky body type in addition.

I think it's a south Asian broadcaster? The Pens have embraced the popular Bonino call, and seems like Crosby saw an opportunity to grow the game among a group that isn't much catered to. I don't know that it's "precious" but it's a smart move.

blessing them with his boring-ass interviews

I'm sure the broadcaster can turn the interview down if they think it'll be too boring.

Johnny in a Hayes brothers sandwich would be A+++

Re: Ask Meme

I have faves all over, but one of the reasons I like so many players is that I automatically like players who went to 1.) my undergrad university, 2.) my grad school university, or 3.) the university I almost went to (and that one of my closest friends went to). I'm also fond of anyone who grew up in my home state or the state in which I'm currently living. All of this means that I have a LOT of (mostly American) faves scattered all over the league, even on teams I dislike.

Who's going to turn down an interview from Sidney Crosby?

IDK, I agree with OP in that the tweet reads condescendingly.

A different beat reporter said it was a Chinese broadcast team? And although "precious" is maybe too much, for full context, this was a request made after his media scrum was finished, when he was about to leave the room. He has been known to agree to those in the past, so I'm not sure he's specifically thinking about growing the game or anything, but he does also makes a point to be especially accommodating with certain requests (media from Nova Scotia, meeting kids, etc.).

The reporter's tweet, or the totally random ass fan whose tweet is getting posted here so we can all call her an idiot?

I'm pretty sure the punjabi broadcast team works from studio in Canada so I don't think it would be them.

Re: Fic discussion - the space between the blue lines

From: (Anonymous)
I just read all the parts. I liked it, agree that I want to know what's up with McNamara (I'm thinking DUI or something related? but I just hope we find out about it eventually) and am prepping to get too invested in a fic that appears to be going down the slowest of slow burn routes.

Re: Fandom Venting

I can't parse this comment at all. On the one hand it sounds like you're saying you think Americans do that kind of stuff and then you say you hope it doesn't happen in real life.

Literally what does this comment bring to the conversation we are having? You have contributed absolutely nothing. Congratulations on being utterly useless.

Re: Fandom Venting

From: (Anonymous)
The random ass fan and/or anyone else who would congratulate/commend him for talking to an Asian broadcaster as if that's some kind, cute, benevolent thing.

na

They were providing more info about the situation? Are we supposed to focus on what an asshole this random girl on Twitter is instead?

Re: Fandom Venting

Did you see the point as it went over your head?

Re: Fandom Venting

What is the point of dragging a total rando who isn't even in rpf fandom here on meme though? Do we really have nothing better do or discuss?? Sure, it's a dumb tweet, but twitter is an endless breeding ground of awful tweets, and this particular one isn't even in the bottom 50% in terms of awfulness.

Re: Fandom Venting

From: (Anonymous)
So they're contributing facts that don't mean anything, don't add to any argument. For what purpose? To demonstrate their deep desire to know about the ins and outs of Crosby's life down to his bowel movements?

da

It contributes more to the conversation than your comment does? Literally what does your comment bring to the conversation we are having? You have contributed absolutely nothing. Congratulations on being utterly useless.

It's in the fandom venting thread. It doesn't need to be justified.

So what is the point of you talking though? We just don't know.

lmao witty

Other anon said it was the Hockey Night in Punjabi team and they had heard it wasn't, didn't realize all meme discussions needed to meet a certain standard of quality and newsworthiness.

Nah, it's probably a line of hockey players.
