They scored the short handed goal after play was blown dead and the powerplay started.

That delayed penalty was wtf but amusing because Jake scurried to the bench.

I want so much fic about rookies who have crushes on Crosby, especially if it involves mutual sighing over him, gradual dawning realisation that their captain is an enormous dork/weirdo, and/or rookies coming to feel like real parts of the team and not just call-ups.

I want some combination of all of the Pens rookies having giant crushes on Sid and the whole kangaroo court thing (you could get extra mileage if the fic had established Sid/Geno and you rolled with the hypothesis that Geno is the Pens' fine master).

Poor kid. Honestly it's not been a great year for recently moved ex-Pens - Despres also spent significant time concussed, and Sutter's season ended early with hernia surgery, I think.
