The "favorites" thing is whatever to me, but I find commenting on Murray's acne gross and uncalled for. It has *nothing* to do with his play, and maybe I *shouldn't* find it more infuriating coming from a woman but I do.

The Pens intern who monitors meme told Sid and Geno they had to make a public show of being friends more so more people would be excited for the upcoming Sid/Geno fic fest, so she made them play soccer in front of the cameras.

(JK IT MADE ME SQUEAL!!!!! This was so fun and unexpected to see lol).

Their facial hair is so awful, Sid's less so unless you see it close up. But yeah Geno's giggling and Sid's go-away-you're-interrupting-us faces are pretty darn cute.

She also prefaced it with "I made the same joke about Hampus Lindholm" hockey's version of "but to be rude but ...."

My team is one of the teams they beat, and I find Giants fans insufferable. It's an awful combo.

... there's a pretty significant difference in motivation and morality, but whatever.

Journalistic ethics and community standards exist to curb behavior. Quibbling over who's heart is in the right place serves no purpose.

................. except "who's heart is in the right place" was LITERALLY what the OP established by saying meme as a whole wouldn't make fun of someone's acne. Journalistic ethics and community standards determine what's acceptable and how transgressions are dealt with, but they can't truly change the morals of people who are operating under its rules. Which is why checks exist in the first place! And it's also why, despite the surface difference in a journalist being able to double-down and a rule-breaking comment immediately getting screened, there isn't really any ground to say that something is so bad even this group of wankers wouldn't say it (which they definitely have on previous occassions)! But, please, feel free to keep making irrelevant peripheral observations.

Well in hindsight we can say this, but the one decision that I remember that you might be referring to is the Zimmermann pull? Based on times through the order and etc, it was the right decision in my opinion. It had a bad outcome, but it was the right decision.

Or was there other bullpen silliness? I can't remember.

More relevant to the wider discussion, I follow some Bay Area sports twitters because of the Giants but I don't care about the GSW and I did find their comeback really obnoxious. That's on me though.

Yeah this is what impresses me about this (more than the miracle of life, who cares! /s). Crosby is so good at keeping his personal life under wraps too that it's not like shocking that they pulled it off but still, big round of applause for his PR people.

This also fuels my conspiracy theory that Crosby is already married and might even have secret children, tbh.

The media for most teams seem pretty good about not announcing pregnancies unless a player OKs it first. I usually never know guys on my team and their wives/girlfriends are expecting until after the baby is born.

Poor Carey and Angela Price did not experience this. Which just makes me wonder if the Montreal media are terrible. Or it was a horrible misunderstanding.
