But you're right, the writing felt more messy than, say, Marc and Dan.

From: (Anonymous)Ugh, I can't believe I relapsed for this. I agree, the writing is really... off. I even checked her tumblr because that's usually where she hides the good shit, and I can't buy into it. The tone, setting, characters just don't click (which is a problem I run into with a lot of college AUs, tbh, on account of currently attending a Hockey School and running pretty parallel to The Hockey Crowd). Playing college hockey takes more planning and dedication than this shows, Robbie probably would've marinated for in Juniors for a bit longer (unless the author is introducing yet another player who undersells himself), she doesn't write bro culture very believably...
I caught up with David, too, and while I can confirm that her writing is better in large chunks, I'm also pretty Over It. Why did he decide he needs to dedicate his life to a team sport if he can't attach to or trust the vast majority of his teammates ever? How hasn't this been a major red flag against him? Why does anyone want to be friends with
Bella SwanDavid Chapman anyway?... at least it's easy to quit this time around?
