This is the twenty-fourth post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.

THE RULES

Eh, the money's reasonable for a first line winger. I think that's what he's getting now, in fact, so a lot of people will think it's a deal since it's not a raise. That term is ugly. But so long as he doesn't want an NMC, I can see a bunch of teams banking on being able to move him if he starts to age.

It's exactly the term that is the bigger problem, and the part he's less likely to compromise on imo. Banking on being able to move him isn't really a smart expectation either (not to say that teams wouldn't think that way). Everyone thinks getting rid of their old expensive players will be easier than it is, because they forget everyone is trying to do that. Even if you manage it, it always comes with some sort of downside.
