This is the twenty-fourth post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.

The world 'breach' could be used that way, as in opening up. It's not even wrong, just not the most common phrasing.

If nobody uses the word that way, and there is a word spelled one letter differently that is very commonly used in sentences like that, the simplest explanation is that the author mistyped. Not that they intentionally used an uncommon phrasing.

It may be technically possible the author was indicating something was wedged against a throat, for example, but I'm probably not going to give them the benefit of the doubt if I come up against someone "chocking" in a fic.
