It was long, but not terribly illustrious until right at the end, when he had the best year ever for a goalie.

Re: Hockey Media

That is hilariously adorable. Also, something something, Pickles underrated something.

I meant more in terms of prolonged dominance. He was only really in the elite conversation for a few years; Vezina votes clustered in 3 of 4 seasons. My guess is that he might have needed to be considered in the top for a while longer to win over the HHoF, but time will tell. I think he's eligible after this season.

Toronto FC legend Vlasic.

Na

Idk what you're talking about, Leon/Kopi was very well documented.

Re: Fandom Goggles

I have no idea how to link an Instagram story (if that's even possible), but Max Domi documenting the saga of Anthony Duclair trying to get a bird out of his house is the best thing I've seen in a while. I ship them so hard.

You can see his heart eyes from space

I love this!

If we're moving Yotes to Ravenclaw, we should move someone to Gryffindor to keep the number balance. Wild?

That Gaborik/Nielson/Zuccarello line seemed to have a lot of chemistry. I feel like you could ship him with either of those guys.

If you have any links, this sounds RTMI.

Re: Fandom Goggles

It's a running gag.

Re: Fandom Goggles

I'm a little creeped out that they know what shipping is tbh. I'm never going to get used to all the ways fandom has gone mainstream, especially not RPF fandom.

As a matter of fact, I do!

Please look at them in this order for max effect.

Man, that first one cuts off at such a great time.

Re: Fandom Goggles

They've been talking to some fandom-adjacent people on Twitter and I've had the same feeling. But at the same time, it's pretty funny. The funniest part to me is that it's the Avs and like five people in RPF fandom really care about the Avs anyway.

Re: Fandom Goggles

Everybody knows what shipping is these days.

Re: Fandom Goggles

Someone I follow on tumblr used to be heavy in fandom before they got hired by ET. It's less creepy imagining her and her-like beings doing it instead of, like, the type of guys played by Rick Hoffman, but it's still a little cringe-y.

I keep telling myself I'm gonna wait until this story is complete to finish reading it, because it's silly and melodramatic and unnecessary, but every time I see a new chapter I pounce on it like I'm a starving rat and it's a can of Pringles that just fell from the sky.

IT'S SO BAD but so goooood.

Withholding my kudos is the only thing maintaining my dignity.

Ikr. It's ridiculous and tropey and falls apart if you think about it even for ten seconds but I'm addicted

Re: Fic Discussion- Burn Our Fingers and Change Our Names

From: (Anonymous)
I couldn't get into it at first, but then the second time I went back I just skipped all the Bruins stuff and started from him and Jamie making eyes at each other and it's so thoroughly enjoyable that way.

Killorn was very good to me in Fantasy Hockey a couple of years back, and I have a fondness for him because of it.

IKR?? before i read it, i thought that comment from upthread about the big bad middle school bruins was deliberately ott, but they LITERALLY are middle schoolers! they won't answer his calls! they don't invite him out! no one will sit with him in the cafeteria!

no lie, i live for this shit. i wish hockey rpf had like 1000% more whump and lemonfic.

Oh, I have loads of fondness for him. Some fans were questioning why he got so much $$/such a long extension, but I'm not mad about it. If you haven't I would suggest reading this article-http://www.tampabay.com/sports/hockey/lightning/harvard-grad-killorn-makes-mom-proud-with-degree-lightning/2230628 which includes the charming quote "Cindy once told Lightning general manager Steve Yzerman her son was one injury away form 'driving the Zamboni.' Yzerman, a Hall of Fame player, politely replied, 'Come on, I think that's a bit of an exaggeration."
