...yeah, I gotta admit that I searched for Olympics fic for the first time in, oh, about two and a half years on Sunday.

It's very mean. Obviously the point is try to get people in trouble with the coach, not to mention making Carlyle uncomfortable.

It's kind of an interesting twist for fic, though, where someone is being forced (for given values) to touch someone else instead of the person they had the bet with. You could take it to a very dubcon/hazing ritual place or go full awkward teen movie where the person doesn't mind being touched by that one person and they fall in love and there's mad scrambling to avoid them finding out it was a bet ... Combine it with a trope even and oops, they've bonded to a guy who never wanted to and was always religious about wearing gloves, etc.

He's at it again. Dammit.

There's something about that dark wood in traditional cuts mixed with the contemporary furniture that just does not work for me at all. Also, if you're going to have walls that white, you need artwork.

Neat outdoor space, though.

It's really hard to sell a house with walls that aren't painted white. People get turned off by the color and then don't want to buy it, even though paint is the cheapest easiest fix in the world. They'll let all kinds of structural issues go, but heaven forfend they don't like the wall color.

I was apartment hunting recently and saw a place where the current tenants had painted all of the walls pea green, and the landlord wasn't willing to repaint for a few more years. I knew it was mostly irrational since it was a nice apartment otherwise but I ended up not trying to get it. It's silly for a house that you're buying though.

I'd guess that he's already moved out and that's staging furniture/art. In the later pics some rooms are empty, and the furniture has the samey look that a lot of staged homes have. /nonny who knows too much about real estate marketing

I don't think the kitchen units work with the flooring at all.

There was a press conference today to officially announce the Winter Classic will be the Blackhawks @ the Blues.

The Blues and the St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball have been working in unison to unify the sports region, more so since the NFL's Rams left for Los Angeles in January.

"We have this wonderful relationship with the Blues," Cardinals president Bill DeWitt III said. "It's really a relationship and that relationship has continued to grow. ... Now the Winter Classic is really a culmination of a partnership that I know will continue to grow in the years to come.

"... I'd like to thank Commissioner Bettman for making this possible. We've been bugging him for a number of years in ways subtle and not so subtle. Now we finally have this event."

You'd think if they were going for staging, they'd have put more in that one room than a single exercise bike.

I can't decide if I like that bathroom or not.

I like the shower, but I'm not a fan of freestanding baths like that. And there row of cupboards is a bit too much for me.

That probably really is his, and he just hasn't moved it out yet. Or maybe they only paid for a certain number of rooms. But I agree with the other anon that it all looks like staged furniture.

Sometimes a realtor will put something in a room to give it a sense of scale. A plain shot of an empty room doesn't really give you any idea of how big it is, so if you throw a dining chair in, it gives people a general idea. (This is how you get the sad real estate pics of a lone chair in an otherwise empty house.) Not sure about the exercise bike - either it's his, like the other nonny said, or the room was meant as an exercise room and the realtor's trying to show that.

My parents' old house has all the downstairs rooms painted lime green. Like mint ice cream. They were renting but got so fed up they asked the landlord if they could repaint, taking all the cost themselves. Landlord said fine as long as it was a neutral colour.

Anything was more neutral than that shade of green.

I love that the sin bin is getting active enough that people are finding meme through it.

It's got tons of light, which is nice, but all the whites and neutrals make it look so soulless and kind of cold. Use some accent colors, man!
