#29 – Lay, Lie, or Laine?

This is the twenty-ninth post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.

THE RULES

1. Mods retain the right to delete, freeze, and/or screen threads and comments.

3. Respect flock. Do not repost or share information from private tumblrs, locked twitter accounts, flocked LJ posts, etc.
4. No linking fans to their real life identities.
5. No looks bashing or body shaming. This applies to players and people associated with those players and their clubs, as well as fellow fans.

7. No embedded images.
8. No spamming the meme, whether through repeated comments or other means. 
9. No discussing trolling, individual trolls, or their efforts.

Someone filled that "captain gets punished for team's losses" prompt that I've been eyeing for over a year, and I'm not really into spanking generally but this fic is so good.

I really wish people would own up to abandoning a fill. I don't want to step on any toes by storming in and going, "Forget them, I have something!" but I'm tiiired of waiting.

The Sid/Mario dub-con one? It's been nearly two years since I updated, but it's not abandoned!

Woohoo! I'd never read that before and I just went and found it! Glad to hear it's not abandoned, creepy Mario is so awful and hot! Poor Sid. I can't decide if I hope he figures out what Mario is doing before it's too late or if I want them to be in this dysfunctional relationship for like the next decade. It's great. Can't wait to read more.

Prompts can have more than one fill. It'd be weird to write a sequel to someone else's fill or something like that, unless you asked first, but if you've got your own thing you want to write for a prompt that has a fill or partial fill, I say go for it.

Give the prompter something! and if all of the people come through and finish with fills, it's a bunch of delightful extra treats!

That super hot Backstrom/Oshie & Ovechkin/Oshie (with past and complicated current Backstrom/Ovechkin feelings) fill got reposted to ao3 and it's by xihale. So if you like Caps fic and messy relationships with a side order of rough sex, do check it out.

There have been TWO reasonably hot Landeskog/Barrie fics on the kink meme and I really hope those wonderful fillers keep it up. I am ready for more kink in that pairing. More anything in that pairing tbh.

I'm pretty sure I've written not!fic that was shorter and less detailed than that prompt, and I *definitely* noped out before the end. I'm also pretty sure I've seen fills that were shorter or very close to being shorter.

Like, sure, couple paragraphs, especially if you're looking for a specific slant on the kink(s) and have some decided HELL YEAH's and DNW's would be understandable, but that degree of specificity is going to make a fill incredibly unlikely imo.

I've been looking through the first couple of posts and there are so many good ideas just wasted on the wrong players or players who aren't relevant to fandom anymore.

could always just write them with your preferred pairing and post on AO3 jus saying like 'inspired by this old prompt'

Why acknowledge the old prompt at all? There's a slight chance you'll annoy the OP if you write "I want this exact prompt, but with players I like better" and pretty much zero chance you'll annoy anyone by requesting "post-victory handjobs #981653007." No one's that original.

I think it'd be fine as long as you're not obnoxious about it - ie, don't fill an entire page with prompts repurposed for Chara/John Scott, or whatever your ship is that you want.
