Patrice Bergeron apparently played all year with a sports hernia and will look into surgery to fix it now that the season's over. He definitely didn't put up as many points as usual (and missed a few games at the beginning of the season) but he played like Patrice Bergeron on defense, played top line minutes every night, didn't miss many practices, etc. I hope the Bruins are smart enough to not let their franchise player do anything that would put the rest of career in jeopardy, but this is the dude who played a whole game with a punctured lung. I'm a little worried. Jesus, Patrice.

Yeah, the reporter who asked him the question wanted to know about his slow start/the games he missed at the beginning and he responded by dropping that little bomb. He said the lighter schedule in the second half helped it improve, but it doesn't seem to have gone away :///

Oh, and the whole team is planning on taking a vacation together before they go their separate ways this summer, because they love each other ;-;
