#29 – Lay, Lie, or Laine?

This is the twenty-ninth post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.

THE RULES

You know it's fucking playoffs time when being Pens fan is just as bad as being a Kane supporter. Just as bad as being Hawks fan has been here for a while already but I guess it was time to raise the bar.

As someone who hates the overwhelming majority of Pens fans on social media: how the fuck are they on the same level as Kane fans?

Without reading, because I hate the Pens and don't care, I'm guessing either Mario's long history of rape apology/possibly witnessing an assault and denying it and/or someone thinking that being awful about rape is the most legitimate complaint you can make about a hockey team or at least the one most likely to paint everyone who disagrees with you as morally reprehensible and/or some twelve-dimensional chess in which someone forces everyone to stop complaining about Pens fans and start saying "At least they're better than Kane fans!"

Whatever way, I'm perfectly fine hating the Pens and their fans on their own merits and without bringing sexual assault into it, unless we're specifically discussing Mario, because fuck him.

They've since changed their url to "daddystrome" for anyone coming in late. Their most recent reblog? "People do realize that you don’t have to be fucking garbage to other fans just because they like a different team, right?"

Man, I thought it was bad when people were sincerely using social justice things to kindle their hatred of certain teams/players/ships, but that crew's love for ironically calling things homophobic, racist, or rape-y, apparently, is even worse.

They were probably confused because OP didn't provide any context. But "was it understandable how one nonnie read a sentence? let's spend 200 comments on this" is the granddaddy of tedious deke wanks and I think it would be better for everyone if we could just skip it this once.

I am none of the nonnies above but when flat memeing and without a link this did seem at first to be meta venting about meme.

On a greater level. All of you who tolerate and find community on Tumblr are better than I. Because from afar it seems like a cesspool of just gifs and wank.
