#29 – Lay, Lie, or Laine?

Hard same, I've been thinking about it since I read it this morning. If it ends all "and they were finally in a place where they could start to get over each other and heal" I'm starting a riot. This was one of only a couple of her storylines I actually liked. If they don't end up together what is the point.

I will be so pissed if we don't get Robbie/Georgie but I'm not holding my breath. There was so much potential with this series! And I've been pretty disappointed so far.

I have a terrible gut feeling that on top of that she's going to throw Robbie/Matty on his. It's not a YCMAL story unless a supporting character she randomly introduces halfway becomes her fave and changes the entire course of the story. see: Kiro

You're not! And it's one of my huge criticisms with the story; them getting back together and working through it, told concurrently with how they broke up, would have been a lot better imo than the angst with a side of clinical depression and possible "wait nvm I'll just fuck my best friend" as a resolution.

The college flashbacks ending partway through was so frustrating! I don't know if she didn't want to do the research or what, but it messed with the pacing a lot.

Honestly, I've been avoiding this story because after all her unsatisfying endings (I was especially pissed at how blah Vinny's ending was - I know a lot of nonnies here didn't like the story, but I really did!) I didn't trust her to actually wrap a story up in a satisfying way. So I wanted to wait until after Robbie is done to see what the endgame is, lol.

Just making sure no one was anti-spoilers ;) I was told however long ago Robbie and Georgie won't get back together, which disappointed me SO MUCH. But that was back in February so who knows if it's still what will happen??

Is this something she answered publicly? I think I remember her being vague about it but did she say it out right? I don't doubt you I just want to believe :(

Nah, she never said it publicly. Around the time she was being vague about it she got a wave of anons who were concerned it would end the way Luke/Nikita did, and she was basically like, I won't answer that publicly but if you need a pre-warning about the ending so you can bail out of the series if need be, send me an ask off anon. So I did, because I never finished Luke's series for a reason. She confirmed it's not an "AND THEY NEVER TALK AGAIN AND THEY'RE BOTH FUCKED THE FUCK UP OVER IT" ending but that they're not getting back together, either.

Although after reading the latest update I'm not even that bothered by them likely not getting back together anymore; I'm much more concerned about Robbie getting actual help and reaching out to someone, whether it be a friend, family member, or a medical professional. Because I was in those shoes myself relatively recently, and. I got lucky and had someone close to me recognize the signs and intervene (it was my first prolonged depressive episode, and I was basically willfully ignoring how bad off I was). It's been a few months now, and I still shudder to think of what might had happened had they not.

Whhyyyy does she spend however many thousands of words teasing a certain ship, to the point it distracts from the other guys she's supposed to be writing about and stems into its own thing, only to not get them together? She already did that ~twist with Ulf and it was shit them, too.

Honestly, I was in it for the 100k words of misery. Which I understand isn't everyone's thing, but now it seems like it might go somewhere less dysfunctional if not happy, so I'm out too.

Similar question, does anyone know which part the cheating was revealed in, or if she just skimmed over it? I am not interested in getting wholly back into the story but I love me some angst.
