I have to run off now, but feel free to tell me your thoughts on tentacles, and I will get back to you later. Who should have them? Who should get fucked with them? What color should they be?!

That would be even worse than finding out via twitter. Although I guess it wouldn't matter if you're getting traded to a team with colors that are the same/very close.

Or maybe a guy's tentacles not changing color is one of the signs that a trade isn't working out. Like there was hope that Trevor Daley's tentacles were at least starting to change shade from Victory Green to whatever that Hawks feather green is, but they were all just fooling themselves in retrospect given how quickly they changed to black and gold when he got traded.

Oooh, I like that idea. There could even be some guys who stay with a team but their color never changes because they don't quite gel (or they do, but something else means they don't change, so angst and speculation ensues).

Can you imagine the internet conspiracies and speculations over Stamkos' tentacles and if they were Toronto Maple Leaf blue or still Tampa Bay Lightning blue?

Who should have them: Everyone. I'm honestly not picky, as I enjoy tentacles in all their many varied forms. But if we want to narrow it down, I'd kind of enjoy seeing some people with them who aren't usually written in that position. Like rookies. I would read all the rookies with tentacles (McDavid, Larkin, Fabbri, Domi...). I'd also like to see more fic with smaller/skilled players with tentacles. Conversely, I'm also always open to evil management/coaches either having their own tentacles or having tentacle monsters on call for breeding and other dirtybadwrong purposes.

Who should get fucked with them: Again, everyone. But if we're going with the aforementioned rookie situation, I'd enjoy them either fucking other rookies or taking advantage (and possibly knocking up) older vets. Smaller/skilled players likewise can fuck older players/enforcers. And evil management can just have a free-for-all on everyone.

Color: I'm partial to green, but I could be sold on any color. Size (all are good), number (the more the merrier) and use (more tentacle sounding + tentacles in mouths, please) are the more important factors, imo.

Nayrt These are very enjoyable thoughts on tentacles.

Betentacled rookies would be cool, or maybe even tentacle having rookies find another of their kind on a team.

I prefer grey/green to a bright green.

I'd read 50k fic about rookies with tentacles, no lie. It would be interesting if it were some sort of situation where players are forced to have tentacles while they're on the ELC or until they hit UFA. Maybe they can only have them removed after a certain point or they just fall off when you hit a certain age (which would make things interesting for older rookies who come over from Europe/Russia and don't have to deal with them). I'd also like secret or not-so-secret tentacle having rookies befriending others of their kind on a team. Maybe older guys who take them under their wing and teach them the unwritten rules for dealing with tentacles on the ice, in the locker room, etc. Also forbidden tentacle-on-tentacle love would be good.

I agree with the grey/green over bright green. Darker greens are also good.

Nefarious Bettman schemes would set up the whole thing sufficiently, and the idea of the time period you have tentacles being part of the CBA is amusing to me. There could be trials in learning to control your tentacles, they give away things you don't want known, and if you can't learn control you will get sent down, or back to juniors.

Forbidden tentacle on tentacle love sounds amazing. They want each other, but have so much family pressure to make lots of babies and they can't do it with each other.

Bless you for all your thoughts, and bless everyone in this thread. Now I too need forbidden tentacle love and rookies knocking up vets (and also sometimes each other, oops). Also definitely evil management and rookies who have to submit to being bred, but I was already there on that one. :D

I want cute tentacle fic. Where someone discovers that someone else has tentacles and gets curious. And then maybe wants to see and touch. And the tentacle-possessor(?) is amused and indulgent and there's lots of cute/fluffy tentacle exploration. Possibly with full-body blushing and hands covering the face in embarrassment, giggly happy sex.

You know, I don't know what this says about me, but I've never even thought about what color the tentacles in all this fic I've been reading are. It's been more yeah! put it in him! without thinking too deeply about it. Like they're just slightly exotic dicks. I think I prefer flesh colored, tbqh.

The thought of them having a color at all is kind of breaking my brain. Like, why would they have a color? They're just tentacles! Yes, I realize this makes no sense.

...sometimes I forget most people picture things in their heads while reading.
