#24 – Not Sure If Serious or Playing Dumba

TWO tentacles+oviposition fills started on the kinkmeme in the last 24 hours! Surely the tentacled elder gods of hockey have blessed.

I haven't started the Dylan Larkin one yet, but the Sid/Geno one is smoking hot.

Because I'm an asshole, the phrase 'pink jolly rancher slick tentacle' made me go, wait, the watermelon or the cherry? But other than that, it's a good set up.

DA We don't have Jolly Rancher so I imagined a shocking bright pink. I am just glad Dylan Larkin is going to get some mpreg love.

The phrasing is a little awkward, but I appreciate the author answering that important question, What Color is the Tentacle.

But wouldn't cherry jolly ranchers be more red than pink?

I looked up a jolly rancher flavor chart to see if I could fuel this thing, and I discovered that there are cinnamon fire jolly ranchers. So now I think those are the only acceptable jolly-rancher inspired tentacles.

I know it is only supposed to be a description of the color, but I can't stop picturing a tentacle the size of a Jolly Rancher, like the tentacle equivalent of a micropeen.

I would read the fic where person A knows that person B is from "giant tentacles in every hole you got" planet or whatever, and has been super nervous about getting involved with them because of it, only to discover that they have a microtentacle. And person B worries that people will think he's only with A because he couldn't attract a mate of his own species. But, no, it's TRUE INTERSPECIES LOVE. And no easy fix-its for insecurities and other cultural difficulties, but lots of mutually enjoyable sex with microtentacles.

The coming-of-age tentacle is making me lol. It's an interesting take, I'll give it that.

I like how we have enough tentacle fic now that we can refer to different genres, lol... the Bildungstentakel, consentacles, etc.

The word consentacles makes me giggle.

Update: still lol-ing. You wanna knock him up, Dylan, that's what's happening! The jokes about American sex ed make themselves.

(I thought it was funny that two of us said "I KNOW -- OVIPOSITION" on a Saturday night too, especially since I've actually been working on this one for a bit.)

Whenever I see "oviposition" written in context of hockey rpf fandom, I just really get thoughts of Ovechkin and tentacles.

It doesn't help that I fucked up my headers on part 1 and it just says "ov" ;)

I'm excited that they're both going in the consentacles direction. I like mind-controlled tentacle breeding as much as the next person, but I think I enjoy it even more when the person is voluntarily into it.

I'm so conflicted because oviposition is a little squicky for me. BUT. Larkin/Werenski LET ME LOVE YOI. So yes. I'm having a dilemma.

The repetitiveness of the prompts is kinda killing me though. The fills are great and unique, but sometimes it feels like prompts are just unoriginal stuffing, tentacles 'n' eggs, brocest, Your Fave Pens, repeat. Like, it doesn't hurt anything, but... we get it. Interest has been established. Write something of your own if the two simultaneous fills that more or less fit your prompt aren't to your particular liking.

If I prompt something that's similar to something that already exists, it's usually because I want more, not because I didn't like the other stuff.

Eh, but someone just prompted exactly what's currently being filled via two active WIPs. Not really sure how much more they want.

They said they want it to start out "angsty and kind of scary," so actually it sounds like they want to see exactly what the two active WIPs gloss over. Which is a normal impulse for being inspired to prompt something.
