Same here. Trading Murray and keeping Fleury is not a suggestion I have seen noised about at all. But if nonnie above is reading the comments to things, that probably their problem right there.

The article is mostly about their history and chemistry, but the headline is kind of dumb. I'm pretty sure most of the national teams are using their native languages (with hockey-glish mixed in). It's really not shocking or particularly sneaky.

Well, if people want to keep Fleury around (and Fleury has been quoted that he'd like to finish his career in Pittsburgh, so there's that) that means they are at least implicitly arguing for trading Murray, since Fleury has to be protected because of his NMC and losing Murray for nothing is hardly a good option either.

He's got legit sources, but also Russian players have used him before to remind teams they have other options when contract negotiations weren't going well for them. Based on past things he's broke, I'm pretty sure he does have a source with Traktor, so I'd say that it probably is true they've sold his KHL rights. Whether Val is seriously negotiating with CSKA or not, who knows? He's had such an unlucky last two years, I wouldn't be surprised if the Stars were moving on from him and he's saving face by leaking it was his choice.

Imogenedisease sure loves having people write shit for her, first those character descriptions and now these stupid fic summaries. Which is ironic because she hasn't written a damn thing herself in weeks and last I checked she's the one who's being paid to write not the other way around. Great setup she has there.

I'm so mad about her everything. And my patience has been thin since those boring dudes invaded that David fic which I was enjoying.

If I was her I'd feel bad taking the patreon money and writing nothing, but oh well. Maybe she's writing exclusive fics for those people.

There have been whispers that he wanted to go back to Russia for ages. There was that Russian interview he did last season complaining about ice time and apparently issues with Ruff and how the org treated him when he had hip surgery. I don't think it's confirmed yet but u wouldn't be surprised to see him go to the KHL.

My understanding with Patreon is that she doesn't get paid unless she updates. So the fact that she hasn't posted anything to AO3 in weeks means she hasn't gotten any money from that in weeks. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, though.

She posted a snippet of Gabe + Stephen the other day and I am still irrationally annoyed that her characters I don't like nearly as much get a million words and the characters I did like got what can barely be defined as a "story."

I renewed the leagues and everyone should have received notice of it. Two GMs have dropped out officially, and several GMs have let me know they're definitely in for the new season, but there's a bunch I haven't heard from.

Yahoo seems to indicate those teams have been renewed, but I can't tell for sure. I'm going to try to figure that out, but if you haven't let me know via e-mail or the League message board (in Yahoo) that you're in or out, please do so, soon!

I have received e-mails from a couple of new players (yay!), but we still have room, so if anyone would like to join, please e-mail me at DDHLCommish@gmail.com

Are the dates I mentioned above good? Sat, Oct 1 for locking the leagues and getting draft order, Wed, Oct 5 for noting we're ready to draft?

I think people are severely underestimating what that would take. There are a lot of really naive assumptions being made about this (my favorite is that Fleury will waive his NMC so he can be exposed to the draft out of the goodness of his heart) but that one is a kicker.

If you are GM George McPhee, formerly of the Capitals that have been getting their skulls kicked in by the Penguins for ages, what do you ask for in return for leaving a 23-year-old franchise goaltender on the board? If you're Foley, a new owner trying to make sure your team has a hook in an impossible market, what do you let McPhee ask for in return for leaving a franchise goalie on the board?

They are so snooze worthy, I can't even keep them apart. I'd trade their entire series for a Sven/Yvette/Gerard update.
