Let's Name the Las Vegas Team

The ownership of the Las Vegas expansion seems to be having trouble naming the team because of trademarks and rules against gambling themes. Let's do the job for him Deke. Team names and suggested jersey colours.

The other day I was thinking they should be the Las Vegas Pink Flamingoes with Neon Pink jerseys with sparkly silver numbers.

Well, if they can't do gambling, aliens are already taken by their baseball team, and the desert is sort of taken by Arizona, I guess that leaves Las Vegas with only one thing they're known for left: nuclear testing.

Las Vegas Atomics? Las Vegas Uraniums? Las Vegas Mushroom Clouds? Las Vegas Destroyer of Worlds?

The PCL already has the Albuquerque Isotopes, not that it should make a difference to the NHL.

Re the 51s and the naming issues, the 51s ownership was trying to change the name a few years ago but I don't know why they didn't. And vague gambling themes are not apparently an issue with PCL teams; the Reno Aces exist.

I think someone said Scorpions last post and that seems good enough. Animal names are usually not bad.

The real challenge with that one is how you'd manage to draw the logo animal with a hockey stick. And what the mascot would look like. Oh god, that mascot would be terrifying.

Growing up I thought all hockey teams had to have animal names (almost all the teams in the league I watched had animal names, it seemed like the logical conclusion lol).
It's still those I like best too and at least 70% of the reason why I started liking the Arizona Coyotes, lol. /anecdote time

Oh, no, they're going black and gold. Totally different and unique.

Not to ruin the fun of this thread, but I think they're actually pretty set as the Knights with aforementioned colors.

In honour of the cinematic masterpiece Showgirls, the Las Vegas Nomi Malones. And there are no jerseys, they play topless.

Although I like the name Pink Flamingos just for all of the jokes we can make about the team eating shit.

Let's even take it a step back. Las Vegas Showgirls. They have peacock themed jerseys. Their logo is a peacock with a hockey stick in its beak. Everyone is in awe.

If they were the pink flamingoes the logo could be the blade of the stick as the body and the shaft as the long neck.

And there could be a big flamingo statue in front of the stadium.

OMG, y'all, I just had a brainstorm. The owner is enamored of the army and shit, right? Why don't they just go full out and make them the Las Vegas Master Sergeants? I was going to go Generals, but I think that's been done.

The team colors will be camouflage, obviously. They can do desert or urban camo, since every team does forest camo practice jerseys for Veterans Day.
